A wide beach with the city close behind it: Haeundae is a place to slow down without leaving Busan behind. Start with the live view, then decide what you would like to experience on the ground. A walk beside the sea, a market stop and a coastal trail offer different ways to spend an afternoon. You do not need to reserve an attraction to enjoy the beach.
What can you see?
This camera is listed as Haeundae Beach by its provider. When the shore is visible, notice the light on the water and how the scene changes as people pass. Framing, visibility and the broadcast itself can change. A preview image is a still picture; start the player to watch the available feed.
Treat the view as inspiration, not a swimming report or a promise of clear skies when you arrive. Nearby places in this guide are destinations to visit, not landmarks guaranteed to appear in the frame.
Getting here
Haeundae Station is on Busan Metro Line 2. Exit 5 is one signed approach to the beach; follow local signs and allow extra time for crossings or luggage. The official beach address is 264, Haeundaehaebyeon-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan. Save both the beach and your accommodation in your map app so you can plan the return journey too.
If you arrive at Gimhae Airport, check a current route to Haeundae before setting off. Compare transfers and walking with the luggage you have, rather than choosing only by the displayed journey time. Airport services and fares can change; this guide does not promise a particular bus, fare or transfer time. [6]
When to visit
Choose daylight if seeing the shoreline and walking toward Dongbaekseom matters most. Choose an evening visit if your plan is a shorter waterfront walk followed by a meal. These are planning suggestions, not guarantees about crowds or weather. In hotter weather, allow breaks and carry water; on a cold or windy day, shorten the exposed part of your route.
Walking beside the sea and entering the water are different plans. Swimming is seasonal and subject to the day's restrictions. Check Busan's official beach information and follow the signs and lifeguards on site. An inviting camera view does not mean the swimming area is open. [6]
Nearby places
Dongbaekseom
Visit Busan · Official · English [2]
Choose this for a change from open sand to a coastal walking trail. Visit Busan describes a roughly 950-metre trail around the former island. Check the route before setting out if steps or uneven surfaces would affect your visit.
Haeundae Traditional Market
VISITKOREA · Korea Tourism Organization · Official · English [3]
Choose this when you want the beach visit to include food and browsing. The market is near the beach and sells produce, seafood and other goods. Let the available stalls guide your stop instead of planning around one dish.
Haeundae Blueline Park · Mipo
Haeundae Blueline Co., Ltd. · Official · English [4]
Choose this as an alternative to the Dongbaekseom walk. Mipo has separate Beach Train and Sky Capsule boarding areas. Check the operator's current information before booking: a Sky Capsule reservation window is an entry time, and waiting can affect later plans.
Visitor information Haeundae Blueline Co., Ltd. · English [5]A flexible 2–3 hour visit
KORIVU's suggested outline, including pauses. It is not an official timed route; walking pace, access conditions and food stops will change the total.
Arrive and settle into the waterfront
Start near the main beach approach and spend 30–45 minutes walking at your own pace. Choose a point to turn back before you become tired. Take your photographs, then leave some time to simply watch the water.
Make a market stop
Allow 30–45 minutes for Haeundae Traditional Market. Browse before choosing a meal or snack. Check prices and portions, and ask about ingredients if needed. Shops keep their own hours, so keep the food stop flexible.
Continue toward Dongbaekseom
Use the remaining 45–75 minutes for the coastal trail and pauses, or finish at the beach if the weather changes. You can also reverse the order and eat after your walk. Skip the longer route if it does not suit your mobility or energy that day.
Practical tips for your visit
For a simple visit, keep the beach and market together. For more walking, add Dongbaekseom and give yourself time to pause along the coast. If the Sky Capsule is your priority, build the afternoon around your boarding time instead: Mipo is a separate choice, not another stop to squeeze into every itinerary. A shorter route leaves room for the part you enjoy most.
Save the place, check the official links below and keep a simple wet-weather fallback. For a short visit, one beach walk plus one nearby stop is enough. If you are travelling with a stroller or wheelchair, confirm the particular route and entrance you plan to use; a destination's accessibility facilities do not make every path equally suitable.
